World Mental Health Day: Abhinav Bindra and Deepika Padukone discuss their work and experiences with mental health

Deepika Padukone is an advocate of mental health awareness and is extensively working towards de-stigmatizing mental illness. Ahead of World Mental Health Day, Deepika has a conversation with Olympic Gold Medallist Abhinav Bindra. On Saturday, Deepika shared a glimpse of her conversating on her Instagram profile.

Sharing the video, Deepika wrote, "The 2021 The Live Love Laugh Foundation Lecture Series featuring Abhinav Bindra. Releasing this World Mental Health Day. Stay Tuned."

In the video, Abhinav is seen recalling what his mother once told him. "She comes up to me and I was grumpy and almost in tears and she comes up to me and says, The most you could have won today was silver or bronze but you are gonna win a gold medal in 4 years time. I just shut up. 4 years later it actually happened so never argue with a mother's instinct," he said which left Deepika amazed.

Deepika Padukone has often spoken about her depressions phase and encourages people to seek people. She runs the Live Love Laugh Foundation which aims to help those struggling with their mental health.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika Padukone is filming for Pathan. She recently wrapped up the shoot of Shakun Batra's next. She will next be seen in '83 that is slated to release on Christmas.
